twasome was composed for Earplayers Tod Brody and Peter Josheff on the occasion of Earplay's 30th season. It is a short, vibrant, celebratory piece that is both virtuosic and, hopefully, fun to play. Both Tod and Peter are exceptionally talented and thoughtful musicians, so the title of the piece is a not so subtle play on the word 'twasome' — a Scottish word for twosome ("duo for flute and clarinet" seemed a bit too dull of a title). Both Tod and Peter are truly awesome, and together they are twasome!
